by which i mean - you almost definitely have company. xie lian is coming onto the area of the beach where he was fishing on his walk, and seems to have stopped, reaching up to pet san lang, whose ears prick forward curiously.
he's very quiet, and very still... but he is definitely watching this fishing technique... and jonghyuk doing it. hey, ]

[ okay!! he will do that. give him a second. san lang curls up further around his neck and xie lian leans down to roll up his white trousers to his knees, and then proceeds to wade into the water.
he gets about up to his knees, or so in the water, before he holds very, very still. there's silence, save for the waves crashing against the beach, and xie lian closes his eyes. he waits...waits--
and then suddenly, his hand snaps out into the water in a chop motion. water splashes all over, and three fish go flying out of the water; with his left hand, he snatches one out of the air, and then turns around to show jonghyuk

That is true... I suppose I've been to the ocean, but I've never exactly had to fish in it, until now.
[ he looks at the fish in his hands, and then nods, going to toss it up onto the pier, where it can flop to its death. rip, fish. dinner for later.

[ Joonghyuk........... frowns........ because... You Could have just politely GIVE HIM THE FISH. He watches it flop and you know what Xie Lan didn't say he was going to keep it.

its okay we'll just say he was aiming for the bucket and missed it's fine. anyway! with that, he may have the fish - it doesn't seem like he's complaining at all!

We have that sort of issue sometimes, as well - creatures will poison water supplies with their resentful energy or other toxins, and it causes villages to starve. Recently, I've done some hunting myself, and I've found it much easier... I think perhaps because it is a bit more active, and it feels a little more familiar.
Training the mind is important, but, perhaps not quite as exhilarating. [ haha... having to hunt for food is a really very new thing, but! at least he's good at it. fishing with a pole is a new activity. ] I think that's what I'm trying to say.

Of course. [ xie lian huffs a little laugh, at that, smiling as he settles down. ] I wouldn't be much of a martial artist, if I couldn't do that.
