I would assume that that person disappeared because they are 'evidence', as our 'evidence' disappears every week. So.. it is especially imperative, that we find them.
The Watchers said that the person who disappeared was still "here" - not whisked off to another place as you were this week, or as I was, last. The only time we have things disappear is on these Fridays because they are related to the crime, somehow. It makes sense, doesn't it...?
