Susato said that you all felt an earthquake over the night - that was us. We were right underneath the city, the entire time. There were catacombs, inhabited by the rest of the citizens of this city itself, and they were plagued with creatures called 'hellbound'.
[ sometimes you go running through the brick ovens of hell with three other protagonist idiots and this is what you find ]
There were memories - and illusions - involved, though. That glass that has shared our memories throughout the week was used to see these 'hellbound' in their true forms.
but yeah - xie lian isn't too rattled by it either, because joonghyuk gets it. not ideal, not nice, but shit sucks. ]
...Mm. It appeared to us in the catacombs not as what it was, but rather - as a victim of [ there's just a slight pause here, a slight furrow in xie lian's brow. ] ... a victim of a disease, that had haunted my country.
I thought that he was infected - and had it not been for Yuri's quick actions and the help of one of the locals in the catacombs, the creature may well have killed me. [ an unusual moment of weakness, for xie lian - but the tragedy of the human face plague is too close, too soon, and it left its mark on him. his frown deepens, troubled. ]
They're creatures that are burnt beyond all measure - by the same great calamity that the locals here spoke of. We saw some of the creature's memory, and it was a miserable thing. Desperately seeking out angels, who they all believed were the ones to bring on the calamity in the first place.
... People who were turned into creatures that conjure illusions to harm others, thanks to the calamity. It is a powerful ability it can tap into an individual's fears. Be more careful next time.
[ To be honest, sounds normal to him, too. He doesn't like it, but he has gone through similar things. ]
I imagine it was hostile. Did the word "tyrant" ever come up?
[ he dips his head, taking the slight scolding with grace. ]
Tyrant... no, I don't think so, but there was a lot of fury against the angels. We came across a chamber when we were down there, covered in graffiti. "The earth bleeds when angels lie - clip their wings - the looking glass knows - tear them down - can't burn away the truth". Things along those lines.
[ like the white no face. even thinking of it sends a chill down his spine. ]
And...honestly, I am not sure. They all saw the Angels as calamitous, though, so - perhaps they were the ones who brought the great fire down upon the people who lived here before.

Except you four did not get sent into some illusion or memory.
[ He’s still not sure if maybe the other group got sent to a different worldline. Hard to say when it’s week 2.
Niah watches the ferret like usual. It is an acceptable greeting. ]
What did you experience?
