xie lian makes his way over to susato curiously, taking the cup. he's still sensitive enough about eating that he checks the teacup for chips before he takes the concoction and gives it a delicate sniff. is this glowing. ]
[ he clears his throat and covers his mouth with his sleeve, muffling a little laugh. ]
It - I think it is just a little salty. Maybe there is something that could be added! [ it's not unsalvageable!! maybe now it will be crab tea. gross. ]
Do you often bring tea to Mr. Sholmes outside of this place...?
Perhaps some canned plum would improve the taste? A little sweetness to go along with it.
[Hmm. But she shakes her head at the question.]
Not at all. I often prepare tea for Mr. Naruhodo, but that is because the sort of tea that is favored in my country is less commonly prepared in Great Britain. Mr. Sholmes' young ward Iris is truly skilled at preparing tea, and devises her own blends, which we are fortunate enough to share in. I feel sorry for Mr. Sholmes that he has no one to prepare him his tea here. The British do love it so.

. . . I am trying to make tea. But the tea bags I have found are musty. Kelp tea is perfectly acceptable, yes?
